Blackfoot's Christmas Tree Fantasy

My family and I participated in Blackfoot's Christmas Tree Fantasy! Local business's and other organizations donate a decorated tree and local artist's preform while people in the community walk around and look at the trees. Three of my voice students preformed earlier this week and My kids and I preformed for about a 1/2 and hour today. We had a great time and we made sure to visit Santa and put in our requests before we left!

Mrs. Middleton Tammy Nichols at Middleton Unpluged Carnival

Today Tammy Nichols Mrs. Middleton emailed me and here is what she told me about The Middleton Unpluged Event:

The city of Middleton dedicated the month of March for Middleton Unplugged. The purpose of Middleton Unplugged was to "unplug" your family and yourself and "plug" back into each other and to take the month of March and reconnect as a family. Each day of the month had suggested activities or local events for everyone to participate in that did not involve any electronic devices.These are some pictures of me participating in the Middleton Unplugged community carnival that was held on March 28th at one of our local elementary schools. There were several different activity booths for the the kids. My family was in-charge of 2 booths, balloon darts and hula hooping. There were numerous people and children that came and everyone had a great time. I was in charge of the dart booth and had many opportunities to talk with those who attended as well as to pose for some pictures.Thanks,Tammy

Blythe Johnston Mrs. Ada County - Special Olympics Winter Games

Blythe Johnston Mrs. Ada County is a huge supporter of the Special Olympics as she has a special needs son. Blythe hosted a team and was very involved during the games. I will posted more information when I get it from Blythe.

As a reminder this year the Mrs. Idaho America Pageant has elected to support the Special Olympics by having all funds raised as a result of the peoples choice votes will be donated to the Idaho Special Olympics. The Idaho Special Olympics has seen a 24% increase in participation as a result of the Winter Games but has not received additional funds because of the games. So the Mrs. Idaho America Staff felt this was a worthy cause.

If you would like to attend the Mrs. Idaho America Pageant tickets are online at http://www.mrsidahoamerica.com/ and at the pageant peoples choice votes cost $1 per vote if you want you can make checks payable to the Idaho Special Olympics.
